Guillermo Otero Villela, also known as G.O. (born December 11th, 1989) is a Latin Singer-songwriter, music producer and all-around creative from Mexico City.
G.O. began his professional career in 2010.
He toured, shared stage, and worked with artist like John Fogerty, Luis Fonsi, Emmanuel, Aída Cuevas, La India, Shaila Dúrcal, Yuridia, Pepe Aguilar, Kinky, Fernando de la Mora, Andrea Bocelli, Natalia Lafourcade, Rio Roma, Juanes, Yuri, David Bisbal, Jessie & Joy, to name a few.
Also known for his single "A veces," which charted in the Top 50 in national radio, and the 2014 cover of "Sobre El Arco Iris" ("Somewhere Over the Rainbow") that rapidly reached over 100,000 plays on YouTube.
G.O.'s debut album, titled “YO SOY YO” (I AM MYSELF) was released in July 2017, by Universal Music Mexico.
Guillermo began to learn music at the age of 5; he plays and writes with drums, ukulele, guilele, guitar, and piano. His lyrics and music are descriptive, soulful, and gluey; merges genres like pop, funk, rock, reggae, hip-hop, bossa, jazz, and blues; all with his personal Latin flavor.
G.O. believes that collaborations, & teamwork are crucial to a happy and long-lasting career, he appreciates the process and welcomes these opportunities; as he invests most of his time co-writing.
